Design Against Fur

Competition registration by 26th March and deadline for submission 9th April

'Work will be evaluated by design and marketing experts, and potentially used in national and international campaigns to end the cruel fur trade. There are cash prizes and all winners and commended students will receive certificates for their portfolios. Winning work will be promoted on a range of national and international sites, in exhibitions and online galleries.

For the 2010 competition the focus is on the use of rabbits in the fur trade.  Each and every year tens of millions of rabbits are raised in cramped conditions and then brutally killed so their fur can be used to trim coats, jackets, boots, scarves and gloves. Their fur is also used to produce toys, stuffed animals, ornaments, trinkets, pet toys, blankets and other fashion and household textiles.'

Want to mail your payment? Download the Call For Entries 19 PDF and send your payment along with a disc with your entries.

Same categories, just more winners.

Same categories: Fine Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, Photography but we’ll have separate sections for professional and student work. One more way we’re going to share the inspiration.

Speaking of inspiration, winners will be asked to submit their own person, place or thing that inspires them which we’ll reproduce in the magazine as space allows—we’ll also select one of the inspirations for the cover.
